Exemplified by the large percentage students participating
in our interscholastic athletic program Trevor students like to
play and Trevor students like to compete! Beyond the sheer enjoyment
that Trevor students derive from their participation their involvement
also serves to compliment and enhance their overall educational
experience.
Perhaps the most striking feature of our interscholastic
athletics program is our outstanding coaches, most of whom also
teach the students in the classroom. The Trevor students are blessed
to have committed and passionate coaches who ensure that beyond
learning the X’s and O’s of their respective sports
that the Trevor student-athletes also learn the myriad of lessons
central to participation in interscholastic sports. Through their
participation Trevor student-athletes gain self confidence, learn
to cooperate as a member of a team, experience the power of commitment,
and most importantly they learn how win with grace and lose with
dignity.
