Homeroom Teachers (Grades N -5) and Advisors (Grades 6 - 12) at Trevor are involved with all aspects of a students' life at school. They serve as the central collection point for all information about each student. Even as various art, music and PE teachers enter a student's daily life, a homeroom teacher or advisor oversee's the totality of the student's social, physical and academic well-being. Homeroom teachers in the lower grades are responsible for about 12 to 15 children. Upper School advisors oversee about 10 advisees.

Homeroom Teachers and Advisors schedule and conduct Family Conferences, serving both as school representatives and moderators to make sure that conferences are constructive and that the student understands any goals that are set. In addition, they correspond with parents throughout the school year. The School publishes faculty voicemail numbers and e-mail addresses to facilitate communication.

Trevor has an unparallelled Advisor system in Grades 6 - 12. Middle School Advisors schedule a 40 minute conferences each week and High School advisors schedule a bi-weekly conference, during which they give their undivided attention to each advisee. During these meetings, the advisor reviews each student's "accountability reports." These are reports generated by each teacher on a weekly (Middle School) or Monthly (High School) basis. Advisors also check on the wellbeing of their advisees and review any issues that may affect the student.
