Computers

In grades six, seven, and eight, students use laptop computers throughout the school day and in all subject areas. Technical support for the laptops is available from professionals stationed in the Middle School Common Room. A desktop, network printers and digital scanners are also available in the Common Room for student use. All computers and laptops are connected to TrevorNet, the local area network that extends throughout the school. Wireless network connections are available for student laptops throughout the building. Students are required to use the computers for class activities such as word processing, research, and presentations. In addition, students have their own e-mail accounts and personal log-on names for accessing the school network and the Internet. The school supports innovative, engaging curricular software for student use. All students are required to sign an Accepted Use Policy.
