teachers employ a wide variety of software; ranging from word
processors and email to programs that can edit movies or organize
a student's schedule. Below is a comprehensive list
of many of the programs that teachers use in their classrooms:

and management tool. Teachers create Learning Resources and post assignments
for students to access, anytime/anywhere. Class Server keeps a portfolio of all
assignments for each academic year.

can then be made about each specific event, and the program offers
various ways to view the information. It is a great
tool to use for class notes or organizing papers.
Outlook:

more time with Outlook reveals that it is much more powerful. Its
calendar and task tools allow one to schedule appointments

file until the
student
wishes to retrieve the information.

Classmates is a language program used mainly in Grades PreK
- Grade 5. It
encourages vocabulary and speaking structure in both English
and
Spanish.
Interactive Physics:
Interactive Physics allows students to set up their own scenarios
involving objects they can create such as cars, people, balls,
and
more. The program then simulates the effects of
gravity and friction to realistically depict what would happen
with certain
situations involving mass, acceleration, and more.
Logger Pro:
Used in chemistry, biology, and physics classes, Logger Pro
has a variety of probes that measure things like temperature,
pH,
speed,
and electricity. The computer then records and charts
the information if real-time, allowing for accurate reports.

for use in the web.
Macromedia/Adobe Flash:
Flash is used for many things, from animation to web multimedia
even to movies and television shows. Students use
it to make creative animated web applications and menus.
JBuilder:
Jbuilder is used in the programming class, where the only limits
are the student's imagination. This powerful tool
has been used by students to create everything, from calculators
to
full-fledged computer games.
Geometer's Sketchpad:
This math program gives an interactive visual approach to geometry. It
acts as a supplement to the textbook and allows students to
