Cognitive Tutor:
Provides an interactive algebra experience which allows students to learn at their own pace by adjusting difficulty levels based on how students answer.

ActivStats:
Gives students a look into real world situations dealing with statistics.  The interactive multimedia lessons offer a great alternative to simply learning with numbers.

MicroWorlds:
Puts animal life into perspective for your students.  Kids can see how small animals live.

Excel:
Allows for number charting and data calculation.  It is used heavily in math classes.  It is also used for its graphical organization interface in language classes to make charts of verb conjugations.

Word:
Word processor. It is used in nearly every class, whether it be for taking notes or writing essays or stories.

Perfect Copy:
An english and grammar program that has students read through sample essays and stories to spot mistakes.

Inspiration:
A graphic organizer that allows students to plot out their ideas visually, whether it be for a paper, presentation, or story.

Timeliner:
Used in history classes to plot dates and events on a timeline.  Notes can then be made about each specific event, and the program offers various ways to view the information.  It is a great tool to use for class notes or organizing papers.

Outlook:
At first glance, it's the school's email program, but spending more time with Outlook reveals that it is much more powerful.  Its calendar and task tools allow one to schedule appointments and make plans, along with sending and receiving email.

PowerPoint:
This multimedia presentation tool is used throughout every class.  Students make slide show presentations that can have text, pictures, and audio.

Can8:
Used in foreign language classes, Can8 is an interactive program that has students listening to and speaking to the program, in addition to reading and writing.

CU Analyzer:
This is an organization tool that allows students to gather information as they visit web sites.  Once they select a web site they are looking at to be stored, it stays in a file until the student wishes to retrieve the information.

Classmates:
Classmates is a language program used mainly in Grades PreK - Grade 5.  It encourages vocabulary and speaking structure in both English and Spanish.

Interactive Physics:
Interactive Physics allows students to set up their own scenarios involving objects they can create such as cars, people, balls, and more.  The program then simulates the effects of gravity and friction to realistically depict what would happen with certain situations involving mass, acceleration, and more.

Logger Pro:
Used in chemistry, biology, and physics classes, Logger Pro has a variety of probes that measure things like temperature, pH, speed, and electricity.  The computer then records and charts the information if real-time, allowing for accurate reports.

Premiere:
Adobe Premiere is used in the moviemaking course to edit student films.  It is a powerful tool that allows for many effects with video and sound.

Paint Shop Pro:
This digital photo editing software is used to make everything from graphics for web sites to abstract self-portraits.

Macromedia/Adobe Dreamweaver:
This powerful web creation tool allows students to design and publish their own web pages with a visual editor, along with many powerful features as well.

Macromedia/Adobe Fireworks
:
Fireworks allows students to edit pictures and make them interactive for use in the web.

Macromedia/Adobe Flash:
Flash is used for many things, from animation to web multimedia even to movies and television shows.  Students use it to make creative animated web applications and menus.

JBuilder:
Jbuilder is used in the programming class, where the only limits are the student's imagination.  This powerful tool has been used by students to create everything, from calculators to full-fledged computer games.

Geometer's Sketchpad:
This math program gives an interactive visual approach to geometry.  It acts as a supplement to the textbook and allows students to draw shapes and lines accurately.

Aside from these programs, there are also many other resources, publications, and interactive media on the Internet which teachers and students use for their classes.
