    • 9th graders engage a traditional curriculum that builds on foundational mastery to diversify problem-solving strategies, advance critical thinking, and go beyond rote memorization. The program is designed to develop transferable skills and enduring understanding.

    • In our coordinated curriculum, students study across disciplines in grades 9-11. In 9th grade, students take chemistry and physics; in 10th grade: chemistry and biology; in 11th grade: biology and physics. The program drives understanding of connections and applications among disciplines. Students revisit topics in greater depth as math and lab skills develop over three years.

    • After winding down and fueling up, students sometimes spend the remainder of a lunch period creating in an art studio, rehearsing in a music classroom, or working with classmates on a project in the High School Center.

    • Sophisticated texts explore questions about identity, culture, and the complexity of relationships. 	Class discussions around a Harkness Table and meaningful assignments emphasize close reading skills, rigorous literary analysis, and the mechanics of writing.

    • Many Trevor students dedicate a portion of their after-school hours to competing with a sports team. Whether at practice or on game day, Trevor athletics inspire teamwork, dedication, and a competitive spirit. Students who compete on an athletic team are exempt from Physical Education for that season.
