New York—On a day to start the week Trevor came out prepared tactically and technically for the first 20 minutes of competition. With crisp passing and movement off the ball Trevor was able to create sequences of brilliance led by Alex Brooks and 8th grader Yogi Kellner. Unfortunately, Dalton broke the brillIance with a chip shot from 20 yards out that seemed to dip under the crossbar at the last second. This goal woke the Tigers up instantly and they went on to control every aspect of the game for 60 minutes.
Hats off to a creative Dalton side that used a balance approach when defending and attacking the Dragons. It was easy to see why Dalton has been a NYSAIS semi-finalist in 2017 and 2018. Trevor faces Lycée Français on Friday at 4:15pm and will definitely use this recent defeat as a reference for positive results moving forward.
