Trevor’s arts curriculum gives students a vocabulary for alternative means of expression and the tools to create their own unique personal voice. The program invites students to inhabit the creative process while exploring diverse avenues of expression. In our inquiry-driven learning environment, students and the arts faculty are committed to collaboration, skill development, constant reflection, and seeking the intersection of curiousity and creativity. Arts are an integral part of the academic progam at Trevor, beginning in the youngest grades. Visual artsdancemusic, and theatre arts are all offered within the Lower, Middle, and Upper School curricula toward the goal of igniting a lifelong passion in Trevor students.

Trevor offers students unique opportunities in each of the arts divisions:

  • Students learn how to choreograph sophisticated, technically demanding performances in Trevor’s iconic Choreolab.
  • The Middle & Upper School Chorus sings the national anthem to a packed crowd at Citi Field.
  • The Middle School visual arts curriculum juxtaposes the ancient art of mosaics with modern-day coding for graphic design.
  • In theatre, students study with accomplished directors and produce collaborative, professional-level performances.
