Independent COVID-19 Testing
If in-person students, faculty, and staff choose not to use the testing service provided at Trevor, they may instead be tested through their primary care provider or other available testing facilities (either the CDC 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time Reverse Transcriptase (RT)–PCR Diagnostic Panel or the CDC Influenza SARS-CoV-2 (Flu SC2) Multiplex Assay will be accepted).
If testing independently, please note the following requirements:

Testing should ideally take place within one day of the Trevor testing date.
- Either the CDC 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time Reverse Transcriptase (RT)–PCR Diagnostic Panel or the CDC Influenza SARS-CoV-2 (Flu SC2) Multiplex Assay will be accepted. Rapid antigen tests, home tests, and antibody tests are NOT accepted.
- Students in Nursery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten who experience difficulty with PCR swab testing may utilize other forms of independent sampling and PCR testing (e.g., saliva).
- The test result (including the name of the laboratory, type of test, and result) must be submitted to the respective school nurse/s, Nurse Nancy Florio and/or Nurse Deborah McTague as soon as it is available, and no later than 7:00 am on the morning of returning to the in-person program.
Following all COVID-19 tests, we depend on the community to follow best practices for social distancing, wearing face coverings, and travel. Thank you for your attention and compliance in this important matter.
