The Trevor Athletics Program emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and individual growth. Passionate coaches impart lessons that are key to athletic and individual development: self-confidence, cooperation, commitment, and the power of hard work. Trevor is a member of the New York City Athletic League (NYCAL), and many of our teams and student-athletes are award-winning competitors at the league, city, and state level.
Trevor offers eight teams for boys and nine for girls at the Middle School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity levels. A large percentage of Trevor students participate in interscholastic athletics, which we believe complements and enhances their education. Making use of an innovative PE/Athletics schedule, 75% of Middle School students participate on at least one team. At the Junior Varsity and Varsity levels, 60% of Upper School students participate on one or more athletic team. Most teams have two coaches; every Trevor coach is certified by the American Red Cross in CPR and AED and, twice yearly, completes the Heads Up Concussion Certification.
