Rebecca Damas earned both a BA in History and a M.Ed in ESL Education from George Washington University. She arrived on Trevor’s scene in 2007 as the Assistant Director of the Upper School. She also used to teach 6th- and 7th-grade math and coach Trevor’s math team. Prior to Trevor, Rebecca taught math and ESOL classes, and was the ESOL department chair at Mark Twain Middle School in Fairfax County, VA. Rebecca also spent a year in Goettingen, Germany as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant. Upon asked why she loves working at Trevor she stated, “ I love that Trevor acknowledges that education is a human endeavor that requires contact and collaboration between students and teachers.”

Assistant Head of School for Teaching & Learning and Advisor
Michael earned his BA from Williams College, his MBA from UCLA, and his MEd from Southern Connecticut State University. Previously, Michael taught at both Harlem Children’s Zone and Elm City College Prep, in New Haven. Before launching his teaching career, he served as Chief Operating Officer at GOOD Worldwide and was Director of Youth Services at Berkshire Farm Center, a foster-care agency. Michael was attracted to Trevor by its unique culture, which combines academic excellence, creativity, and collaboration.
Daniel Feigin, who has served as Upper School Director since 2012, added the role of Assistant Head of School, while retaining his Upper School Director responsibilities for Grades 9–12. Dan earned his MA from Columbia University and his BA from Franklin and Marshall College. A graduate of The Day School, Dan started teaching at Trevor in 1992. Over the past 23 years, he has served in a variety of capacities, including English Teacher (Grades 6–12), Alumni Relations Director, and Middle School Director, as well as varsity soccer and basketball coach. Dan is deeply committed to executing Trevor’s mission and embodying its values; he serves the students and families with vision and care. He has also been instrumental in bringing the Upper School building project to fruition. In his role as Assistant Head of School, Dan will add to his portfolio by expanding Trevor’s external programming and developing new revenue sources for the school. He says, “It will be an honor to further our working relationship.”
Kenny holds a BA from the University of Richmond, an MA from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an MPhil and PhD from Columbia University. Kenny comes to Trevor from the Ethical Culture Fieldston School, where he served for nine years as Upper School Ethics and Technology Coordinator and Ethics faculty member, and most recently, as the Upper School Director of Studies and Assistant Principal for Academic Life. Prior to his role at Fieldston, Kenny worked as an instructional coach in various NYC public schools and as a high school English teacher in public schools in Richmond, VA. From the first time he stepped on campus, Trevor's mission to nurture the whole child inspired Kenny. "The way everyone in the community—adults and students alike—work together to cultivate academic and personal excellence through creative inquiry, cultural responsiveness, and heartening connections to each other and the world each day is exactly why I love the Trevor community."
Samantha earned her BS in Psychology from Yale University and both her MS in School Psychology and her Doctor of Psychology from Yeshiva University. She is a New York State licensed Psychologist. She has been working in schools and hospitals since 1999, and most recently was the school psychologist at Edgemont Junior/Senior High School, working with middle and upper schoolers. Prior to that she was a school psychologist at Scarsdale High School. Samantha completed internships throughout the Scarsdale public school system and externships at Kings County Hospital, The Benjamin Franklin Middle School, and Children’s Village.
Debbie joined the Upper School in 2011 as the Middle and Upper School Registered Nurse. Debbie brings with her over 30 years of a range of medical practice, including Lenox Hill Hospital, to private practice, before entering the field of school nursing. Prior to coming to Trevor, Debbie worked at Nassau Community College. In addition to caring for all the medical needs of the Middle and Upper School students, you will often find Nurse Debbie on a volleyball or basketball court, as she assists the head coaches of the Middle School sports.

Administrative Assistant for Middle and Upper School
Caroline graduated from University of Vermont with a BA in Communication Sciences. She joined Trevor in 2012 after being an assistant at NGK Global, a consulting organization for non-profits. Caroline loves that Trevor creates a great community of faculty, staff, and students who “all share a responsibility to make the school and the world a better place through a sense of global awareness and a hunger for further education.”
Andy earned his BA from Rutgers University and his MS in Education from Bank Street College of Education. He also completed the NYSAIS Emerging Leaders Institute. Andy comes to Trevor from Ethical Culture Fieldston School, where he was the Assistant Principal. Prior to that appointment in 2013, Andy served as a 2nd-grade teacher, and then as the Learning Coordinator at Ethical Culture. He also previously taught special education at PS 111 and PS 126, and Pre-K through 2nd grade at The Calhoun School.
