School Hours & Transportation

Trevor recognizes the various scheduling and transportation challenges faced by families who balance work life, school schedules, and commuting. In response, Trevor offers families the option of early arrival, later pickup, and inter-campus transportation. We promote balanced lives for students and families alike.
From age 3 through grade 12, students can arrive at Trevor as early as 7:30 am and remain on campus until 6:00 pm (5:00 pm on Friday for the Middle and Upper School).

In the Lower School, there is a supervised early drop-off program which includes arts & crafts and sports. The library is also open for families to read together and check out books. Once a month the Lower School offers a community breakfast for families, faculty, and staff. On select days each week, parents and caretakers are invited in for an early morning visit to see students' classrooms in action.

Middle and Upper School students are welcome to have breakfast in the cafeteria at no charge, beginning at 7:30 am each day. The Middle School Common Room and Upper School Center also open at 7:30 am.
Trevor runs a private shuttle bus between its two campuses in the morning and the afternoon, to help families avoid the hassle and costs of crosstown commuting.

In the Early Childhood Program (Threes and Pre-K), parents or caretakers ride the shuttle with their children. Kindergarten students and older ride independently or with a buddy.

Morning shuttles depart from both campuses between 7:30 and 8:30 am. Traveling from east to west, there is an additional pick up location on 86th Street and Park Avenue.

Afternoon and evening shuttles depart from both campuses between between 2:55 pm and 6:15 pm, bringing students directly to the opposite campus.

After the school day ends, Lower School students can further explore educational and enrichment activities in a safe and inclusive environment until 6:00 pm through the AfterSchool Program. Dynamic, fun, and age-appropriate classes are available each day of the week, as is a homework lab. (Trevor also hosts a weekly martial arts program for 6th–12th graders.)

Trevor’s Arts Conservatory is another after-school opportunity available for Kindergarten–12th graders who are interested in the serious study of music and performance through individual lessons.

Additionally, the Middle School Common Room and Upper School Center remain open and supervised until 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, and until 5:00 pm on Friday.
